Recently, France promulgated the latest legislation, stipulating that all large parking lots in France need to install photovoltaic. The legislation approved by the French Senate this week requires the installation of photovoltaic panels in existing and new parking lots with a capacity of at least 80 cars. The installation time limit of solar parking lots with 80 to 400 parking spaces is five years, and that of operators with more than 400 parking spaces is three years. At least half of the area of the larger site must be covered by photovoltaic modules. The French government believes that this measure can generate up to 11GW of electricity.
