Slovakia offers $156.1 million in subsidies for residential PV, heat pumps in 2023 2023-07-25
The Slovak authorities will provide EUR 140 million (USD 156.1 million) in subsidies in 2023 to subsidize 50% of the cost price of purchasing and installing solar water heaters, heat pumps, biomass systems, solar collectors and photovoltaic systems of up to 10KW.

SIEA said in a statement, "We are launching a brand new program with new conditions, a new list of equipment and a list of authorized contractors." Under the Greenhouse Program, project developers are entitled to a one-time subsidy of 50 percent of the total cost of purchasing and installing a renewable energy system or heat pump. The subsidy can be up to €3,400 for heat pumps, up to €1,500 for photovoltaic panels and biomass systems, and up to €1,750 for solar collectors.

Since its launch in 2015, SEIA has subsidized more than 53,000 installations to the tune of approximately €111 million. IRENA reports that Slovakia's installed PV capacity will be around 537 MW by the end of 2022, the same as the previous year.
